Permanent Camping - Casey Brown Architects

This project is Permanent Camping by Casey Brown Architects. The Hero Shot (image above) is taken in the evening, when the architecture is set amongst the stars. The illumination from the fire creates an inviting place to sit an view the night sky unencumbered by both contextual and architectural distractions.

The detail shot (below) highlights the construction methodology and operation of the space. The doors are suspended on steel wires whilst the water is few through a rudimentary but ultimately quite beautiful arrangement of a steel tank sitting atop stones from the site. The simplicity of the structure is borne out in the expression of the details.
